Olga Joan is named after my grandmothers, Olga and Joan. They were strong, stylish women in their own quiet ways, and the label is a small ode to them.

I started OJ in 2018 with a pretty simple intention: to make clothes I actually wanted to wear. Pieces that feel good on, that last, that don’t need overexplaining. My background is in production, so I care a lot about the details; fabrics, fit, finish. But at the same time, I design mostly on instinct. It usually comes down to: what do I feel like putting on right now?

The answer lately has been things with a little romance. Vintage-inspired shapes, soft details, and a feminine edge that doesn’t shout, but still makes you feel like yourself.

We work in small runs with considered materials, doing our best to keep the impact light and the process transparent. Fashion will never be perfect, but I believe it can be thoughtful.
